Welcome to Bahrain Information Technology expo 2012 jointly organized by Bahrain eGovernment Authority in collaboration with Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), Project Management Institute-Arabian Gulf chapter Bahrain Branch (PMI), and the Bahrain Internet Society (BIS).

We have been honored by the kind patronage and support of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Information and Communication Technology, Kingdom of Bahrain, who embraced this significant event for the fifth consecutive year.

In last year's edition, Bahrain IT expo marked a tremendous success, evident by the constantly rising number of sponsors, exhibitors and visitors. Being one of the largest Information Technology expo in the kingdom, the organizing committee thrives to put forth a unique platform that serves as a global networking and meeting place for officials from global organizations and IT professionals from across the Kingdom.

Bahrain IT expo is being held in conjunction with Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2012 to facilitate a mutual learning and sharing experience, providing participants with valuable insights and tackling emerging e-Government issues and opportunities to better serve the needs of their citizens, and open opportunities to participants to explore collaborations with an international audience.

The information technologies and solutions have become an integral part of our daily routine here in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This comes after intensive efforts by the eGovernment authority in harmony with other government bodies in the Kingdom; to provide a comprehensive range of online services helping the citizens and residents to conduct transactions easily with the least possible time, leading to an information society and e-transformation in line with the Bahrain economic vision 2030.

The Bahrain IT expo provides both the public and private sector with the opportunity to exhibit their products and showcase the latest trends and IT solutions, in addition to assessing them to promote their services and explore business opportunities in the market.

This event is constantly inviting Bahraini small and medium enterprises to utilize the generous offer put forth by TAMKEEN to encourage them to be part of this global gathering and join the success quest.
